Use a clean microfiber towel and an automotive glass cleaner, working on a cool windshield. A second dry towel helps remove oily film and streaks; avoid dressings or household products that leave residue near the glass.
Tire pressure commonly falls as air temperature drops, so a seasonal decrease does not automatically mean a puncture. Check all tires cold with a reliable gauge and inflate to the vehicle placard pressure, not the maximum.
Cloudy plastic headlights usually need oxidation removed from the outer lens, followed by UV protection. A proper headlight restoration kit is more durable than a quick household abrasive that leaves the lens unprotected.
A short drive may not fully recover a deeply discharged battery. If the battery and charging system are healthy, 20–30 minutes of steady driving can add charge, but a proper battery charger and a battery/alternator test are.
Use the defroster with outside air and AC dehumidification when available, keep the inside glass clean and reduce excess cabin moisture. Recirculation can make interior fogging worse in many conditions.
Wash the area first, then soften the sap with a paint-safe automotive sap remover or an appropriate isopropyl-alcohol method recommended for the finish. Work gently and re-wax or protect the cleaned spot afterward.
A musty AC smell often comes from moisture and microbial growth around the evaporator or a dirty cabin air filter. Check the filter and make sure the evaporator drain is working before using fragrance to cover the odor.
A healthy modern car can often sit for a couple of weeks, but battery condition, temperature, parasitic draw and vehicle age matter. If it will sit longer, plan for battery maintenance, tire checks and safe storage rather.
