If Windows shows the headphones as connected but audio still plays elsewhere, select them as the output device, check app-specific output settings and reconnect the Bluetooth profile before reinstalling anything.
Strong Wi-Fi signal only proves the laptop can hear the router. Compare a second device on the same network, restart the laptop, forget and reconnect to Wi-Fi and check updates before changing the router for everyone.
Interference, distance, multipoint connections and low battery are common causes. Keep the phone close, disconnect unused paired devices and test the headphones with a second device to separate a headset issue from a phone.
Start by reducing startup apps, freeing storage, updating the OS, removing unused software and checking for overheating or malware. These changes can improve responsiveness without buying parts.
Slow overnight charging can be intentional battery-protection behavior, but it can also come from a weak adapter, damaged cable, debris in the port, heat or background activity. Compare with a known-good compatible charger.
Use a normal reboot—unplug power briefly or use the router’s restart option—rather than the recessed factory-reset button. A factory reset erases customized Wi-Fi names, passwords and other settings.
When only one device drops, focus on that device first: forget and rejoin the network, update its OS and Wi-Fi driver, disable aggressive battery saving and compare performance on another network.
If speed tests look good, buffering can still come from weak Wi-Fi at the TV, congestion, an overloaded streaming app, DNS/router issues or the service itself. Test the TV on Ethernet or a different network before replacing.
